phantom of the oooopera!

i'm back from the phantom of the opera!!!

gosh... i can't stop raving bout it. not like i've been to many plays but this is one really spectacular play you should not miss.. yeaa perhaps partly cos i've always loved this play and all its songs, but really... i thought the movie make was good and this is ten times better!

awesome costumes, props, singing, dance... all in front of your eyes. u'll be wowed ten times over.

and the swinging/crashing chandelier... i didn't imagine it to be so huge and spectacular! u really go wow when it lit up and went up to the ceiling... but the crash scene.. abit disappointing. i thought it's gonna swing down n have a good earth shattering crash.. lol.. yeaa come to think of it, obviously it can't or the stage will be in chaos. so it just plopped gently on the ground... borrring.
but with stuff like exciting fire blazes and gunshots... kinda made up for it. gotta say, their effects rock la... the lake scene, really looked like a real boat rowing in the lake sia. and the masquerade scene was sooo grand...

anyway a pity we couldn't take pics or there'd be so many beaauuutifuuul things to snap.. but here's a shot of the chandelier we secretly took on the hp during interlude.. but quality not good..

hehe.. as usual the pic can never do justice to the real thing.

sigh the only regret is sitting all the way up at circle 3.. 4th level!! can't see any facial expressions la. and i paid freakin $87 when my friends are paying $50 for better seats using the student discount.. sheesh... dunno why i'm so dumb. ok la.. but to console myself it's a good view of the hanging stuff.. like the chandelier.. hurhur.. i'd think sitting on the second level will be the best though.. really bird's eye view of everything.. since there're so many things in the air n at the back parts of the stage.. but i really won't know la.. just think so..

and also.. got big head in front of me and fat leg behind. big head kept popping into a good portion of my view. brrr. he's bigger and taller than everyone around him (and i'm the shortest around). and fat leg somehow managed to kick itself against my chair every once in awhile to give it a huge thump. hmpfff.

sighh how i love all the songs... think of me, music of the night, say you'll love me. downloaded these songs some years ago and played them on repeat mode for a period of time.. then when one of my committees came to do a worksession in my room, they were quite disgusted with my choice of "opera" songs. they no taste la... hahaha.

now i've put the songs on repeat mode again..lol..

breathtaking experience.
