lala mood

so i din go to my mum's office today cos of last night's midnight movie and supper till 4am.

maybe for a good reason too.

cos thong gets half the day off today! he could go off after a morning run.. wish all fridays are like that la.

really looking forward to seeing him and having a laid back, casual day slacking somewhere later on. but the boy sounds so tired and i think he's sleeping now.

i think we're going to watch pirates! and i'm dying to watch ocean's 13.

anyway zodiac the movie... abit zzz. my company for the night din like it at all.. louise fell asleep and asked me the ending. but i felt it's actually quite an ok show though admittedly it's rather boring as it's a tad too much of a sticker to all the facts. it's based on a real story by the way.. based on this serial murderer that haunted california in the 1960s.

i rem reading a full review article of it in life! some time ago.. and i rem it being rated favourably. wasn't that sure after watching it and hearing the peeps groan.. but guess wat? in today's life! papers, the movie review section gave it 4.5/5 stars!! by ong sor fern.. who's quite a good critic supposedly.

hmm.. to give the movie credit i think it's really not a brainless trashy scare-u-to-hell and meaningless kinda thriller that's been bombarding the screens lately. so the scare factor isn't there (at least not the main emphasis of the show.. though i'm honestly still freaked by some of the scenes which were pretty real), but it gives another kind of flavour to the thriller. the sombre mood that plagued the citizens and kids, the feelings of hopelessness by the investigators all added to the sense of reality.

but overall, dun watch it if u're the kind who watches a thriller just expecting to get gore scenes and heaps of fright factor. this show is slightly deeper, for pple who appreciates abit of historical happenings and reality crime solving.

nobody knows its breed by the way. and apparently he's a celebrity. championing for charitable causes!

if i have a doggie like this, i wouldn't be a wee bit scared of it, and i'd love it till the end of time.
